What do you make of this boy?

At the risk of hurting your feelings, I will be honest. You are the backup girl. He wants the other girl but she is playing him for reasons you may never uncover. When he said, "I don't want you anywhere near there" you should have kept walking at that point. You let him come back, follow him around, watch him on My Space, etc. It is flattering to him, but believe me, he doesn't 'love' anybody but himself. Find a better looking guy and show him your middle finger next time you see him.
