What city is located directly between Atlanta and Baton Rouge....one that has an airport???

I'm trying to plan a vacation with my boyfriend. He lives in Atlanta and I live in Baton Rouge.....and we want to fly to Mexico. So should we drive to meet in the middle then fly from there or should one of us fly to meet the other then fly from ATL or New Orleans airport???? I want to take him to Cozumel for his bday, but I want to cut airline costs where I can so we can have more $$$ to spend on the actual vacay...... help!!
